What actually happens when you land
Written out in order, because the part people worry about is not the drive.
- 01
Before you fly
You will have your driver's name and a WhatsApp thread with us. Nothing about the arrival is left to be worked out on the day, and the price you agreed is the price. If your children need seats, tell us their ages at booking and the right baby or booster seat is fitted in the car before you land, free.
- 02
Wheels down at Agadir Al Massira
We track your flight in real time. If you are two hours late, we already know, and we move the pick-up ourselves. A delay is our problem, not yours. Sixty minutes of free waiting is included from the moment you land, measured from the actual landing, not from the time on your ticket.
- 03
Passport control
This is usually the slowest part of arriving, and it is entirely outside anyone’s control. There is nothing to do here except join the queue. Your driver is not counting the minutes and there is nothing you need to send us.
- 04
Baggage reclaim
Collect everything, including oversized items. Boards, buggies, golf bags and cots all come off separately from the main belt, so it is worth a second look before you head for the exit.
- 05
Walking out into arrivals
Here is the bit everyone has read the forum threads about. You will walk out into a busy hall and several people will offer you a taxi. You do not need to talk to any of them, and you do not need to be rude about it either. Your driver is standing in that hall holding a printed board with your name on it. Look for the board, not for a person. If you cannot see it within a minute or two, stop walking, open WhatsApp and message us, and we will tell you exactly where he is standing. That is a normal message to send and we get them every week.
- 06
The car
Modern, air conditioned, clean, and it is yours alone. Nobody else is sharing it, and the driver is not picking anyone else up on the way. He takes the bags. Your children’s seats are already fitted. There is bottled water.
- 07
The drive
160 km, around 2h 50min. The N1 south to Tiznit is the slow part, a single carriageway through towns and roundabouts. From Tiznit the road heads down to the coast and continues south past Mirleft. Legzira is a turn-off from that road about 10 km before Sidi Ifni, and a short side road leads down towards the beach.
- 08
Arriving
Legzira is a beach below red cliffs, not a village, and no vehicle drives onto the sand. The side road ends at the car park above the beach, by the cafés and guesthouses, and that is where the driver stops. From there the sand is a few minutes' walk down a steep path and steps. The remaining arch is a further walk south along the beach and is only passable at lower tide, when the sea pulls back from the foot of the cliffs. If you are staying at the beach, travel as light as you can.
- 09
Paying, and the return leg
You pay at the end, cash in euros or dirham, or you paid online in advance. You do not need to have found an ATM to get out of the airport. If you booked the return at the same time, we confirm the pick-up by message the evening before, including the early ones. A 05:00 departure for a 07:00 flight is normal work for us, not a favour, and you can go to sleep knowing it is confirmed.
Agadir to Legzira Transfer
Private transfer from Agadir Airport to Legzira, the beach of red sandstone cliffs about 10 km north of Sidi Ifni. It had two natural arches: one collapsed in September 2016 and the other still stands. The drive is about 160 km and takes around 2 hours 50 minutes. It suits travellers staying at the beach or close by, and it ends at the car park above the sand, which is as far as any vehicle can go.

Private transfer, grand taxi or bus
Three ways to do this journey, and the private transfer is not automatically the right one. Here is the honest comparison, including where the other two win.
| Private transfer (us) | Grand taxi via Tiznit, or a local taxi from Sidi Ifni | Local bus between Tiznit and Sidi Ifni, to the Legzira turn-off | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price basis | Per vehicle. One price covers the car and everyone in it, up to its capacity. Four people pay the same as one. | Per car if you take it privately, per seat if you share it and wait for it to fill. Which one you get depends on the conversation at the kerb. | Per person, every time. A family of five pays five fares. |
| Fixed price | Yes. From €140 for this route, agreed in writing before you travel. The number does not move for luggage, for a night arrival, or because you look like a tourist. | No. The fare is negotiated at the kerb before you get in, and it is on you to know what a fair number looks like. Agree it out loud, and agree whether it is for the car or per seat, before the boot opens. | Yes. Published fare, paid at the counter, no negotiation. This is the cheapest way to do this journey and we are not going to pretend otherwise. |
| Door to door | Yes. From Agadir Airport to the exact address you give us, including addresses that are a street name and a landmark rather than a number. | Usually yes, though the exact drop-off point can become part of the negotiation, and some drivers will stop short of narrow or unlit streets. | No. Station to station. You still have to solve the last leg from the terminal to your bed, with your bags, at whatever hour you arrive. |
| Journey time | 2h 50min for 160 km, direct, with a stop if you want one. | The same when you take the whole car. Longer if you share, because a shared grand taxi does not leave until every seat is sold. | Longer. Scheduled departure times, scheduled stops, and the wait at each end. |
| Night availability | Any hour, including pre-dawn departures, because it is booked in advance and the driver is already assigned to you. | Usually available at the rank, though supply thins out very late, and late at night is exactly when your negotiating position is at its worst. | Buses on the Tiznit to Sidi Ifni road will drop you at the Legzira turn-off if you ask, and from there it is about a kilometre on foot down to the beach. Fine with a day bag, hard work with suitcases. |
| Luggage and surfboards | Included in the price. Capacity for passengers and bags is published on every vehicle row further up this page, so you can match your group before you book. Surfboards and board bags are carried. Tell us how many at booking and we will send the right vehicle. Pushchairs, travel cots and golf bags the same. | Depends entirely on the car that turns up and the driver's willingness. Oversized items are often a separate negotiation, and a board bag can be a flat refusal. | Hold space is limited and oversized items are at the operator's discretion. Boards are the item most likely to be turned away. |
| Flight tracking | Yes, in real time, on every airport pick-up. If your flight is late we move the pick-up, you do not. Sixty minutes of free waiting is included from the moment you land. | No. There is no booking to track. You find a car when you walk out, whenever that is. | No. The timetable does not know your flight is late. A missed departure is a wait for the next one. |
| Child seats | Baby and booster seats are free. Tell us your children's ages when you book and the right seat is fitted in the car before you land, not handed to you in the car park. | Grand taxis do not carry child seats, and you cannot rely on finding one that does. | None, and no way to fit your own. |
| Payment | Cash to the driver in euros or dirham, or card online in advance. You do not need to have found an ATM first. | Cash, in dirham, and you will need it in hand before you get in. Dirham is generally not obtainable outside Morocco. | Cash in dirham at the counter. |
When the other options are the better call
If you are staying in Sidi Ifni or Mirleft and want to see the arch, a local taxi is quick and cheap, and you do not need us. If you want to see Legzira for a day from Agadir, our Legzira Beach and Tiznit day trip is a better fit than a one-way transfer. This route is for people sleeping at Legzira or nearby: it is a beach with no town, the side road from the main road is about a kilometre long and the last part is on foot, so arriving with luggage by bus is genuinely awkward. A fixed price for the whole vehicle gets you to the car park above the sand in one go.
We would rather tell you that now than have you feel sold to afterwards.
The Luxe Standard
Every transfer includes our curated selection of premium amenities and safety protocols, ensuring your journey from Agadir Airport is as seamless as the destination.
Hotels and areas we cover in Legzira
Fixed price, whichever of these you are going to. We price by area, not by property, so a hotel that is not named here is still covered at the same €140 for this route, and the driver still takes you to its door.
The beach and the car park above it
The side road ends at a car park above the beach, by the cafés and small guesthouses. That is as far as a vehicle goes; the sand is a few minutes' walk down a steep path and steps.
the cafés and small guesthouses by the beach
The arch
Not a drop-off point. The remaining arch is a walk south along the sand and can only be reached at lower tide; at high tide the sea comes up to the foot of the cliffs.
the remaining Legzira arch · the fallen rock of the arch that collapsed in 2016
Sidi Ifni and Mirleft
Sidi Ifni is about 10 km south and Mirleft about 20 km north. If you are staying in either, book that route instead; each has its own price.
Not on the list? That is normal, there are hundreds of properties in Legzira and this is not all of them. Send us the name, or a screenshot of your booking confirmation, on WhatsApp and we will confirm the price for your exact address before you pay anything. Apartments, villas and rentals with no formal address are routine work for us: a street name and a landmark is enough.
