You will have your driver's name and a WhatsApp thread with us. Nothing about the arrival is left to be worked out on the day, and the price you agreed is the price. If your children need seats, tell us their ages at booking and the right baby or booster seat is fitted in the car before you land, free.

This is usually the slowest part of arriving, and it is entirely outside anyone’s control. There is nothing to do here except join the queue. Your driver is not counting the minutes and there is nothing you need to send us.

Collect everything, including oversized items. Boards, buggies, golf bags and cots all come off separately from the main belt, so it is worth a second look before you head for the exit.

Walking out into arrivals
Here is the bit everyone has read the forum threads about. You will walk out into a busy hall and several people will offer you a taxi. You do not need to talk to any of them, and you do not need to be rude about it either. Your driver is standing in that hall holding a printed board with your name on it. Look for the board, not for a person. If you cannot see it within a minute or two, stop walking, open WhatsApp and message us, and we will tell you exactly where he is standing. That is a normal message to send and we get them every week.

The car
Modern, air conditioned, clean, and it is yours alone. Nobody else is sharing it, and the driver is not picking anyone else up on the way. He takes the bags. Your children’s seats are already fitted. There is bottled water.

The drive
50 km up the coast road, around 55 min. It is a good drive: the road runs along the Atlantic most of the way, past Anza and the banana stalls at Aourir, and if you want to stop for a photograph or a coffee, ask. Boards travel with you, inside the vehicle, at no extra charge. Tell us how many at booking and we will send a car that takes them, so nobody is standing at a kerb discovering the boot is too small.

Arriving
Into the village itself, not to the main road above it. Taghazout, Tamraght and Aourir run into each other and the names get used interchangeably online, which is why people end up in the wrong one, so the driver takes you to the address you gave us and confirms the building before he leaves. Where the street is too narrow for the car, we stop as close as it allows and carry the bags the last few metres rather than pointing down the road. If you are at Taghazout Bay rather than Taghazout village, that is a different place a few minutes south and we go to the resort entrance.

Paying, and the return leg
You pay at the end, cash in euros or dirham, or you paid online in advance. You do not need to have found an ATM to get out of the airport. If you booked the return at the same time, we confirm the pick-up by message the evening before, including the early ones. A 05:00 departure for a 07:00 flight is normal work for us, not a favour, and you can go to sleep knowing it is confirmed.

When the other options are the better call
A solo surfer landing at midday with one board and a rucksack can absolutely get up the coast by shared transport for a fraction of what we charge, and that is a good decision. The maths flips when you are a group: because our price is for the car and not per person, four of you split €40 rather than paying it four times over. It also flips when you land after dark, when your accommodation is down a narrow street in Tamraght or Aourir with no house number, or when you have more boards than one car can take.
We would rather tell you that now than have you feel sold to afterwards.

A few minutes south of Taghazout and where a lot of the surf camps actually are. This is the village where addresses are least likely to be a real address, and it is the one people most often get dropped at the wrong end of.

Aourir and the banana village
On the coast road just before Tamraght, marked by the roadside banana stalls. Confirm with us whether you mean Aourir or Tamraght, they run into each other and the two names get used interchangeably online.
Imi Ouaddar and the coast north of the Bay
Spread along the coast road with long unlit approaches. Worth a fixed price and a driver who has been there before.
